CUET-UG is a national-level entrance exam conducted by NTA whose score card/ rank helps in taking admission in all major UG courses besides BTech. Candidates willing to take admission in BTech must take the JEE-Main exam, which is also a national-level entrance exam but mainly for admission to BE/ BTech in various government and private universities and colleges.
Also, Assam University accepts admission in its BTech course based on the scorecard/ rank of JEE-Main. For lateral entry to BTech, the candidate needs to take Departmental entrance exam which is conducted by Assam University.

Assam University BTech admission is based on the candidate's performance in JEE-Main. Candidates willing to take admission in BTech at Assam University should have passed class 12 or SSC with a minimum of 45% aggregate (40% for reserved category)
Eligible candidates must take the JEE-Main examination and secure a good rank because only those applicants whose JEE-Main rank will be above the closing rank as specified in the merit list released by Assam University can proceed further with counselling process.
Candidates with a valid scorecard/ rank must register for counselling, followed by document verification and fee payment.

Yes, Assam University offers BTech courses through its own college named Trigun Sen School of Technology. The university offers BTech across three specialisations i.e. BTech in Agriculture Engineering, BTech in Computer Science & Engineering, and BTech in Electronics & Communication Engineering.
Trigun Sen School of Technology under Assam University accepts admission in the BTech course through JEE-Main exam followed by CSAB counselling. Therefore, students willing to take admission in BTech at Assam University must take JEE-Main exam.

At the UG level, the institute offers two five-year integrated programmes, BA LLB and BBA LLB. Both programmes are divided into 10 semesters, each year consisting of two semesters.
