Computer department at DYPIEMR Akurdi is excellent with experienced faculty and proper infrastructure. Extra curricular activities are also given academic importance which makes it a great learning experience. Seminars are regularly organized on recent trends in engineering.

Hostel facility I rate it low because they provide all amenities but are not qualified with quality. There is a flat with 4 rooms and 2 people per room. So overall 8 people live in the flat. They charge up to 1,50,000 per year. The registration process happens here in the hostel office by paying the fees and registering the available rooms. Talking about private hostels near the college, there is a huge number of PG hostels and hostels for staying near the college.
