There is no restriction for doing MBA in any stream. It all depends on your interest in which stream you want to do MBA. If you are a non IT background student then also you can pursue MBA in IT but I would like to tell you that if you don't have at all knowledge about IT so it will be difficult for you to cope up. Information technology MBA have proven themselves to be a great degree to progress up the managerial ladder. But for some graduates, a little experience is needed first. Admission for Category-A (General & SC/ST) students will be made through GATE. When GATE Candidates are not available, admission will be given to Non-GATE Candidates on TS-PGECET merit. Admission for Category-B will be made based on experience / merit. Preference will be given to GATE qualified candidates. So GATE scores will be the best for M.Tech admission. in GNITS.
