First, there is no proper infrastructure for labs and sports. I wanted both.
Second, they make you pass lab exams with a S or an A with nil efforts. You learn nothing here.
Third, they follow a mark-oriented approach rather than going by the learning perspective.
Last, there are crazy rules here which will change students' way of thinking.
If you are an open minded or a practical person, do not go for it. The college wouldn't make sense.

Last years (2015) cut-off marks were 129 for CSE, 119 for ME, 111 for EEE and 105 for CE.
It is not expected to change a lot this year.

College of Engineering, Defence Institute of Advanced Technology, Army Institute of Technology, Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University, MIT World Peace University, Vishwakarma Institute of Information Technology, etc. (Not listed as per priority, all of them are great). But, if geographical location is not a concern then I had definitely suggest Chandigarh University as one of the best Computer Engineering college. It has great faculty and academic record, astonishing placements and a diverse peer group which helps enhance individual personality. I had recommend to checkout more a

They will ask you questions from all fields, you should be Versatile and aware of your surroundings. Keep your technical part strong and be sound enough to reply them gently .
Your presence of mind could also be tested based on questions they ask and lastly the question they ask to almost everyone is . Why DEI?. Prepare for it
Rest up to 90 in JEE mains will be enough with a good grades in 10th and 12th.

Great Alumni Network, In all the government sector you will find people from JEC, 90% chances that your interview will be taken be JECian(people from IIT go to Silicon Valley and People from JEC goes to Government Job)
Infrastructure is old, but great.
All the facilities are available, but you need to be serious to use them.
Sport Facilities are great, you need to have good contact with Sport Department to access all the sport equipment.
