The ICFAI University, Jharkhand provides merit scholarship to BTech students who have taken admission through lateral entry. The scholarship amount is given based upon the percentage or CGPA of the qualifying exam. The scholarship is given in the form of concession in the semester fee. For BTech admission at ICFAI University, Jharkhand, students have to pay a Caution Deposit of INR 10,000. The Caution Deposit will be refunded to the students on completion of the BTech program. It will not be adjusted to any fee or dues.

One academic year at the IIT Dharwad BTech course is split into two semesters. The first semester usually runs from July to December, while the second runs from January to April.
