CAT is one of the accepting exams for admission at Prin. N.G. Naralkar Institute of Career Development and Research. However, it is not compulsory to have a CAT score for a seat in the institute. Aspirants with a score in MAT, CMAT, XAT, ATMA or MAH MBA CET can also get admission through CAP Counselling rounds. Candidates must score equal or above the NICDR Pune cutoff for admission in the institute.

As an All India Quota (AIQ) student aiming for Maharashtra engineering colleges, you do not need to take MHT CET. You can directly participate in the MHT CET counselling process (CAP rounds) using your JEE Main score. You'll need to register specifically for the MHT CET counselling, which is conducted by the Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test Cell. This registration typically involves filling personal/academic details, uploading documents including your JEE Main scorecard, and paying a counselling fee. You do not need to register for the MHT CET exam itself.

It's highly unlikely you can apply for a regular board exam from 2011 now. Most boards like CBSE offer limited chances (typically 3-5) for compartment/re-appear exams immediately after the result. However, you can explore appearing for the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) On-Demand Examination System (ODES). NIOS allows students who failed in previous board exams (from any recognised board) to reappear in failed subjects. You'd need your failed marksheet.

English board exam patterns typically comprise sections on Reading Comprehension (unseen passages), Writing Skills (letters, articles, reports, notices, emails, paragraph/analytical writing), Grammar (tenses, modals, subject-verb concord, reported speech, transformations), and Literature (textbook-based questions, extract-based questions, long and short answers assessing interpretation, analysis, and critical thinking). The overall paper is usually 80 marks (theory) with 20 marks for internal assessment. Competency-based questions are increasingly emphasized.
