Universities and immigration bodies will consider your best overall score from a single sitting that meets all their specific criteria (including sectional cut-offs). 

You can choose to share only your best scores if you have taken multiple attempts of the PTE esam. Your university or visa offices cannot view the scores from your other attempts (except from the ones that you share).

You need to balance on both speed and accuracy, but accuracy usually comes first, especially for content-based questions in the PTE exam.

  • Accuracy: Without accuracy, speed is useless. Incorrect answers written fast or even in full length don't get any marks.
  • Speed: PTE is highly timed exam. You must learn to work quickly and efficiently. Hence, the ideal approach is to practice until you can achieve accuracy within the time limits for each question type.

Here are some of the common PTE exam challenges that the students may face:

  1. Many universities and immigration bodies have not just an overall PTE score requirement but also minimum scores for each section (Listening, Reading, Speaking, Writing). A student might achieve a great overall score but fall short in just one section, making him/her ineligible.

Each question in the PLAB exam is worth 1 mark. The sum of all the marks you achieve in the PLAB exam is your final score for the exam.

Yes, Indian students who completed their MBBS degrees from a recognised medical college/university in India can take PLAB exam, just that their college or university must be listed in “World Directory of Medical Schools”.
