The OET is designed for 12 specific healthcare professions and candidates belonging to a similar discipline are advised to take the exam. As part of the OET Exam Pattern, the exam requires candidates to solve healthcare scenarios during the English and Communication Skills tests.

The OET score uses a simple A to E letter scale. 'A' means the highest score possible. Each part of the test gets a score from 0 to 500. There is no one final grade, only separate scores for each skill.

Candidates who have successfully taken OET can 2026 expect their scores to be released approximately 16 working days after the test date. Official score release dates are announced on OET's official website.

For admission to the BCom programme, Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University considers marks scored in the last qualifying examination. Admission to General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) course at Mata Kaushalya Government Hospital is on the basis of marks secured by the candidate in 12th class and not through a different entrance test. The candidate should have passed 10+2 with English and obtained a minimum of 40% marks in the qualifying examination. Science stream is preferred but not compulsory. It is mostly merit-based based on qualifying exam marks, and candidates belonging to recognized boards such as State Open School and NIOS are also eligible. There is no separate entrance test taken for admission to GNM here.
