Step 1: NALSAR University of Law Application Process 2025
For NALSAR course admissions, the first step is to register and fill out an online application form for all courses except BA LLB. For BA LLB registrations are done through CLAT. Candidates must visit the official website of NALSAR University to apply for the course of their choice. They also have to pay an application fee of INR 1,000 before submitting the application form.
Step 2: Selection
The registered candidates are required to appear for CLAT entrance exam for admission to BA LLB and LLM programmes. For MBA, the selection is based on CAT or N-MET PG score. Besides, admission to BBA is based on IPMAT, JIPMAT or CLAT scores. Selected candidates might be called for a personal interview for some of the courses.
Step 3: NALSAR CLAT Counselling
Candidates willing to get admission in BA LLB and LLM programme, have to go through the CLAT counselling process for acceptance of seats. After appearing in CLAT, candidates who will qualify for the exam will get seat allotment. To confirm the allotment, candidates have to accept the seat allotment, after that the allotment will be frozen.
Step 4: Final Seat Allotment
Candidates who will accept the allotted seat need to upload all the documents prescribed for admission. After that candidates, will be required to pay the admission fee to confirm their seats within a stipulated deadline.

NALSAR University of Law, don’t offer admission to BA LLB and LLM programmes without a valid CLAT score. Candidates looking forward to practising law in India, are required to clear the All India Bar Exam (AIBE) that is conducted by BCI. On clearing the AIBE exam, lawyers are awarded a ‘Certificate of Practice’ which is mandatory for practising the profession as an advocate in India. However, aspirants who wish to apply for MBA or BBA may not require CLAT and can get admission based on other accepted entrance exams.
Aspirants are offered seat in NALSAR University of Law top courses such as BA LLB (Hons) and LLM based on CLAT score.
