A Common Rank List (CRL) rank of 286,843, a SC category rank of 16,644, and an 80.7 percentile in JEE Main could make it difficult to get into Government Funded Technical Institutions (GFTIs) or National Institutes of Technology (NITs). For SC candidates, the qualifying cutoff has typically been in the 65 percentile.
NIT and GFTI admission cutoffs, on the other hand are usually higher with SC category closing ranks frequently falling below 10,000. Examining private or state engineering universities may provide higher entrance prospects given your existing standing.

Hi Bhawani Singh,

If you appear for a CBSE improvement exam and score lower than your original marks, the original marks will remain valid. The improvement exam is an opportunity to enhance your scores; if the new marks are higher, they will replace the old ones. However, if the new marks are lower, your original marks are retained. Therefore, CBSE will not issue a new marksheet if your improvement exam scores are less than your original marks.

Wishing you the best in your academic endeavors!

San Diego State University does not ask for GRE or GMAT scores for graduate programs. To support their application, students can take the GMAT or GRE and post their unofficial results on Interfolio. However, SDSU does not give preference to either exam if students choose to submit test results; instead, the university will typically choose the student's best score.
