It depends on the criteria you choose-

  • If you are applying under Proforma 'a1' (10-year residency), you must have the signed certificate; IDs are not enough.
  • If you are applying under Proforma 'b' (Parental residency), you can use the original Voter ID, Aadhaar, Passport, or Ration card of your parents (any two) as proof of their permanent West Bengal address in place of the proforma.

Yes. You are eligible under the Residency Criteria. You must provide Proforma 'a1' (certified by a competent authority) proving you have resided in the state continuously for at least 10 years. You do not need to prove your parents' residency if you meet this 10-year requirement yourself.

The PhD admissions to the Institute Assistantship courses at IIT Guwahati require candidates to appear for the GATE or CEED.

However, PhD admissions to the other categories of PhD courses at IIT Guwahati are not decided on the basis of the aforementioned entrance exams scores.

GMAT scores are one of the factors during admission and are submitted by students to improve their selection chances. There is no ideal score provided by students to get into the Columbia LLM. According to the university student profile 2026, students should have transcripts, personal statement, a resume, merit response, English language requirements, and more.

Yes, there is an entrance exam for Medicaps University admission. The university conducts nationa-level entrance tests - MU-SAT and MU-LAT. These act as both scholarship and admission tests. Students are offered scholarships based on the scores in these exams.

From my side, there isn't really a strict “minimum CAT score” that GIBS publicly declares like some colleges do. When I applied, CAT was just one part of the whole selection and a lot also depended on the GD/PI, communication, clarity about why PGDM, and overall attitude.

I've seen classmates with very different score ranges getting selected because GIBS looks more at potential and how you present yourself rather than just the number. So even if your CAT score isn't too high, it doesn't close the door — they genuinely focus on the student, not just the percentile.
