It's safe to say that this particular field is not limited to a certain age. Recruiters can be influenced by anything from a creative/ fresh outburst of a young designer straight out of college to an experienced visionary with a strong hold on what the brand demands. I'd say people of all ages can aspire to work in this domain. Just make sure you are applying as per the job descriptions and the recruiter's needs for relevant roles.

The common perception is that the field of fashion design is saturated these days. It is only when you get into the real job search process - you get to know the real scenario. As far as I have concluded - every field is saturated to some extent or another.
My suggestion would be to make good networks, be active on LinkedIn, Naukri and Indeed. Most importantly - Make a portfolio, gain certificates, skills and experiences DURING your Fashion Designing course. Do not wait till the college is over to explore career options yet make sure you balance that out while maintaining your academics.
