Fashion Design

After completing MDes in Fashion Design from NSFTID Bangalore, students can build their careers as Design head, Fashion designer, stylist or retailer, Textile or Costume Designer, Fashion Consultant, Fashion Entrepreneur, and Fashion photographer.

To be eligible for MDes in Fashion Design in Nitte School of Fashion Technology and Interior Design, candidates need minimum 50% aggregate in graduate degree in Fashion Design/Fashion & Apparel Design/ B.Des Fashion Design/ Costume & Apparel Design/ Apparel Design, B.Tech Textiles, Silk Technology, Fashion Technology from a recognised University.

After completing BDes in Fashion Design from Nitte School of Fashion Technology and Interior Design, students can build careers as fashion designers, stylists and entrepreneurs. They can also continue their studies in fashion management or merchandise.

BDes at Arch College of Design and Business does not have a fixed "marks-based" cutoff like traditional engineering courses. Instead, your total score in the AIEED (All India Entrance Examination for Design), which includes the exam, portfolio, and interview, determines your rank. Generally, students with a strong creative portfolio and a good score in the general aptitude section have a high chance of selection.  

The Fashion Design department has 50 seats available. Like the other courses, admission is competitive and based on artistic merit. Students must clear the interview process to secure a spot. Limited seats allow for detailed hands-on work with fabrics and design tools.

BDes Fashion Design teaches students about different textiles, fabrics, and garment design and construction. Learning involves using computer-aided design (CAD) for modern fashion. Students also work on multiple projects to build a professional portfolio of their designs. 

MA in Fashion Design course at SVAC University is a 18-month long course. The tuition fee for this course is INR 22 lakh. For admission to this couse, a Bachelor's degree is required. Careers after studing this course are-
