The selection process for Master of Vocation (M.Voc.) depends on the results of an entrance exam or merit lists. Applicants may also be required to appear for an interview.
To be eligible for admission to a Master of Vocation (M.Voc) degree program, students typically need a 50–60% aggregate score in their graduation. The All India Entrance Examination for Design (AIEED) is also a typical eligibility criterion for the M.Voc program.
The minimum required marks for M.Voc in AIEED changes everytime and it's published by the council after the total examination process.

Therefore, it is unlikely that one can join MIT Institute of Design without taking the MITID DAT. The institute's admission process is highly competitive, and the DAT is a key component of the selection criteria.
