The MIT Institute of Design (MITID) typically requires applicants to appear for the Design Aptitude Test (DAT) as part of its admission process. The DAT is used to shortlist candidates for the Studio Test and Personal Interview, which are the basis of admission to undergraduate and postgraduate design courses at MITID. Therefore, it is unlikely that one can join MIT Institute of Design without taking the MITID DAT. The institute's admission process is highly competitive, and the DAT is a key component of the selection criteria.

NIFT (National Institute of Fashion Technology) has released its date for the NIFT 2024 Examination. The examination will be conducted on February 5, 2024 .
The date for submission of application form began on December 5, 2023 followed by the last date on January 3, 2024.

Number of questions in NIFT General Ability Test (GAT) depends upon what course you are appearing in the examination for . All the papers in NIFT GAT are Computer based .

1) Duration of the examination - two hours. (120 minutes).
