If you have done a 3-year Diploma in fashion design, you can pursue a B.Design course from NIFT through the lateral entry mode. The lateral entry mode is a special admission process for students who have already completed a Diploma or equivalent course in the same field.
To be eligible for the lateral entry mode, you must have a Diploma in fashion design from a recognised institute. You must also have a minimum of 50% marks in your diploma.
The application process for the lateral entry mode is the same as the regular admission process. You can apply online through the NIFT website.

The girls hotel are divided in 5 blocks, the admission is based on entrance exams. The hostel fees of Lucknow Polytechnic is in the range of 10-15 k per year and approx of 5-6 k external expenses which will totally depend on students. The college life style is like villagers.

The most crucial requirements for aspirants are basic knowledge of design, good observation skill, creative thinking capability, and confidence in interactions. NIFT offers around 4500 seats every year, including seats for all categories. So you do have a good chance under reserved categories to get admission.
