Fashion designing can be studied as an undergraduate course with any stream in 10+2 level.
1) National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) - This is probably the best fashion design school in India and getting admission here is a matter of pride for any student.

2) National Institute of design (NID) - This institute again holds great importance in the eyes of many aspiring fashion designers. Getting admission here is not a cakewalk.

3) Pearl Academy - This is a comparatively newer institute, having been set up in 2003, but has been successful in earning a great reputation sooner than any institute. This private institute has its programmes approved by Nottingham Trent University, UK.

5) Northern India Institute of Fashion Technology (NIIFT) - This institute was established in collaboration with NIFT in the year 1995 by the state government of Punjab. Offering both UG and PG courses in fashion design, garment manufacturing and retail management, it is counted among the leading fashion design institutes in India.

6) SNDT Premlila Vithaldas Polytechnic - This institute has earned great respect amongst the many fashion design institutes of India. It is not a co-educational institute and aims at providing fashion design knowledge to young girls and women. It has earned a 5 star ranking by NAAC.
