Hi Monica!
Try looking for a course in INIFD. NIFT only has a undergraduate degree in textile design. You can also apply for a course in Bunka, Japan. They have a great course in Textile Design, not sure about the duration though.

Hi Mimanshi, If you want to settle in USA, its better you look for universities in USA itself so that you get a OPT or CPT. But mind you its very strict and not easy and these are mainly for STEM subjects. Refer to some ranking websites like QS and visit university websites and have an idea of what they have to offer, the programs, career assistance, rankings, admission requirements, fees, etc. Match your profile with the admission requirements, you will know better if you are an average student or better than average and accordingly, you can select your universities. Of course, leather designing is one of the major course under fashion designing. You come across so many things in your daily life, which are made of leather like footwear, jackets, carry bags and handbags, belts and a lot in clothing as well and minor things hard to imagine. All these are to be designed by a leather designer. It may sound very basic but leather designing is really tough and demands a very creative brain.

Hi Narala!
You can apply for Masters in Fashion Design once you complete your graduation. There are many colleges that accept applications from candidates belonging to different discipline than design. You will have to appear for a general aptitude test and creative ability test which will determine your admission. Few colleges that you can apply for admissions are:
National Institute of Design
National institute of Fashion Technology
Symbiosis Institute Of Design
Amity University
Apeejay Institute of Design.

Yes, you can pursue Masters in Fashion Design. The basic eligibility requirement for a candidate is to have a graduation in any discipline from a recognised University. You must have a good level of creativity and imagination as the admission in design colleges depend on Design Aptitude Test (that). Some of the great colleges in India for Fashion Design include NID, NIFT, Amity University, Apeejay Institute of Design, Symbiosis Institute of Design and IIFT.

You can apply for Bachelor in Fashion Design irrespective of the stream you have in your 10+2. However, you should complete your 10+2 from a recognised board of education like CBSE, ICSE or equivalent.
