There are quite a few colleges in Mumbai which offers fashion designing courses:
1 - NIFT Mumbai: National institute of designing is a government college. It's the second the best college for fashion designing after NIFT, New Delhi. It offers a Bachelor's of design degree. It's a four years course. They provide excellent quality education and good career opportunities. Their course curriculum is same as of FIT New York. The eligibility for this course is: 12th with a minimum percentage of 55 in any stream. And must be under the age of 23, and the age limit is relaxed by five years for schedule caste, schedule tribe and differently disabled people.
2 - PEARL ACADEMY: It's a private college and is second the best in Mumbai after NIFT. There are many types of courses in fashion designing field.
First is B.Des i.e., Bachelor of Designing which most of the design students wish to pursue. It is a 4-year course under the branch you choose which can be apparel, footwear, accessories, automobile, furniture, interior designing, etc.
Second is BA in fashion designing which is simply Bachelor of Arts in fashion designing. It is a 3-year course where one studies the basics of every possible branch of fashion designing.
The third is B.Voc (Bachelor of Vocation) in fashion designing which is a vocational course of 5 years. In this, the first three years are of graduation, whereas, the last two years are for postgraduation. It is an integrated course of Bachelor's and Master's degree. The subjects in this course are very basic and they include basic Hindi, maths and other primary subjects.
Fourth is CAD which stands for computer-aided design. In this course, most of the things you learn are related to computer applications, that is design related software, etc. The duration of this course varies in different colleges. It may be of one month or one and a half month, maybe of six months or a year.
The last course is Diploma which is a 1-2 year course. It can be done after completing class 10th.

5. How much time do you need to learn or brush up your skills related to this language?
6. Do you have that time available to you, now?
7. Which is a trustworthy source from where you can gain knowledge on this language? No; these questions are not meant to be presented to alarm you. The B.Sc in Jewelry Design and Management deals with the subjects related to jewelry design from conceptualization, designing, drafting, and material Science, making and finishing aspects of jewelry. 4. Pearl Academy of Fashion: The Pearl Academy is a premium design institute and needs no introduction. It is one of the oldest design institutes in India providing design courses in every sphere.
5. ARCH Academy of Design: The Arch Academy of Design pioneered the first Online Entrance Examination for Design in India in 2011.

But, I will suggest you to go for NIFT, IIT or NID only. These are the top government colleges for Design and their market value is much better than the other colleges. They provide excellent quality education and knowledge. You will easily get a good job opportunity after completing your graduation from these colleges. They have a record of 100% placements and a starting package of at least three Lacs per annum. I am not sure about the other colleges.
