The Fashion Institute of Technology has USD 100 application fee for PG and USD 65 for UG. Application fee must be paid by credit card or electronic check. Application cost is not refunded. To avoid having application rejected by college, students are advised to carefully choose their program. Applicants are only allowed to apply for one UG or PG program at FIT in a year.

All overseas applicants must meet the requirements listed below in order to be considered for admission to SUNY FIT -
1) Submit an online application for SUNY.
2) The applicant must hold credentials comparable to those from an official secondary school in the United States. Transcripts must be delivered in English directly to FIT from the relevant schools. They can be sent by mail or delivered personally to the institute address in a sealed envelope.

Test results from the SAT and ACT are not necessary for admission. They are optional for the Presidential Scholars (Honours) Programme for the 2021 Admissions cycle. SAT and ACT test results, if provided, will be utilised to determine a student's placement in English and math subjects at FIT. You must take the SAT or ACT verbal exam, including the essay exam, to be placed in English classes. When transmitting SAT or ACT scores to FIT, use code 2257 or 2744, respectively. Before enrolling in any English, Math, or Science courses, international students who have not already passed the SAT or ACT must take placement tests.
