Fergusson College gives hostel facilities to its students. There are six hostels with accommodation capacity of 441 male and 230 female students. There are also two honorary medical officers visiting the hostels thrice in a week and providing medical consultation to the hostel students.

Students have to apply online if they want to get admission at the Fergusson College. It is easy for the students to apply online directly from the college website. The PG courses at the college require a common entrance test for the admission but the UG course admissions are on merit basis.

Fergusson College is an autonomous college that is recognised by the University Grant Commission (UGC) and gives good education to the students. Below given are the reasons to choose the college:
- Good Ranking: The college is ranked 57 under the 'Colleges' category by the NIRF 2025.
- Placement Opportunities: The college gives placement opportunities in companies like Wipro, Cipla, Deloitte and BPCL.
