Food technologists work in both settings, research labs as well as factories. In research labs, their main focus is on the creation of new food products and techniques and improving the existing ones, keeping in mind food safety and quality standards.

Coming to the factory setting, food tech professionals may also be involved in the supervision of the entire food production process ensuring quality control and solving any challenges that may arise at the ground level. Other than labs and factories, food technologists are also involved in consulting and work in government agencies and research institutes.

Yes, there will be entrance exams for both Psychology and Microbiology in 2026 and 2027. Most central and many state universities take admission through CUET-PG for both courses. Apart from CUET, some universities like TISS, BHU, and a few state universities may conduct their own entrance exams. So, if you're planning for either subject, you'll have options to apply through national-level or university-level exams.
