No, GATE scores are not compulsory for admissions to the M.Tech course at NIELIT Calicut. The institute also offers admissions to those students who have not appeared in GATE. The unfilled GATE seats will first be filled with NON-GATE candidates from Kerala state based on the nativity certificate. If seats are still remaining vacant,  candidates from other states will be considered for admission.

Moreover, the institute also allocates 5 seats to each M.Tech branch for sponsored category students. However, apart from all these aspects, applicants with GATE scores are considered more for admission. 

Kumaraguru College of Technology accepts GATE scores for admission to M.Tech programme. However, it is not compulsory. Aspirants can also get admission through CEETA PG scores. Besides, candidates must also have passed BE/ BTech with at least 50% aggregate to get admission in the M.Tech programme.

IIIT Vadodara accepts the GATE score for admissions to various  M.Tech specialisations, followed by the CCMT counselling process. IIIT Vadodara GATE cutoff 2025 is out, and as per the last round, the closing score fell between 360 and 404 for students belonging to the OBC AI quota and for round 1, the cutoff range was from 448 to 477.

Therefore, considering both rounds, students should aim for a score of at least 360 or higher to qualify for admission at IIIT Vadodara.

If you belong to the General AI category, your score of 642 is good enough to avail admission at IIIT Vadodara. For the General AI Category candidates, the GATE cutoff 2025 ranged from 415 to 443, making 642 better than the cutoff score. The GATE cutoff 2025 for IIIT Vadodara has been released for various categories for admissions to different M.Tech specialisations. The cutoff score ranged from 415 to 443 for students belonging to the General category, All India quota. This is the cutoff for the last round; other rounds will have different cutoffs accordingly. This year, the most difficult M.Tech specialisation proved to be M.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering (Artificial Intelligence), with a cutoff score ranging from 443 to 539. Therefore, students aiming for a seat should strive for a score above 400 to improve their chances of admission. 

If you belong to the General AI category, your chances of getting a seat at IIIT Trichy are high. The cutoff score ranged from 427 to 589 for M.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering and 350 to 460 for M.Tech. in VLSI Systems during the last and first rounds. Students can refer to the table below to know the cutoff score range for both the MTech specialisations offered at IIIT Trichy. 

GATE exam scores are very important for admission to the M.Tech in GIS and Remote Sensing course at top colleges like NIT Warangal & MNNIT Allahabad. There is high competition with multiple students like you giving the exam to get admission to an M.Tech specialisation of their choice.

If you belong to the General AI category, with your score of 600, you can easily get admission to IIIT Vadodara DIU Campus. The last round closing score was 415, and your score of 600 is better than the cutoff score. If you belong to the OBC AI quota or SC AI quota, then also your chances of admission are good, as both their last round cutoff scores are 360 and 270, respectively. Please note that other categories will have different cutoff scores, and just qualifying for the cutoff does not guarantee a seat  at the University.

Different categories and rounds would have different cutoff scores accordingly. For the OBC category, All India quota, a score of 360 can be considered for admissions as the range fell between 360 and 448. For the General AI quota, a student would need to secure a score of at least 415 or higher to get a chance to avail a seat at IIIT Vadodara DIU campus.
