The GATE scorecard will be released after the declaration of the results. The scorecard is valif for three years and can be used in the following -

  • Candidates can use the GATE scorecard to apply for admission to various IITs, NITs, IISc, and other prestiguous colleges.
  • Candidates with good GATE scores will be offered scholarships during their postgraduate studies.
  • A valid GATE scorecard can also be used to apply for PSU jobs, such as BHEL, NTPC, ONGC, etc.

Candidates can check the GATE 2026 eligibility criteria on the official website or in the GATE information brochure. The GATE 2026 official website is now active. Registrations will begin from August 25 onwards. The eligibility is different for each discipline or subject. Therefore, candidates must check the details carefully before applying. Any error in the eligibility can lead to the disqualification of the GATE application form.

Yes, candidates with backlogs can apply for GATE, provided they submit a provisional certificate or proof of their final year educational qualification.

No, Diploma holders cannot apply for the GATE exam. Candidates need to have a bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline with a minimum qualifying mark from a recognised institute/university.

Candidates with a bachelor's degree in engineering/technology/architecture or a master's degree in science/mathematics/statistics or computer Science are eligible to apply for GATE exam. Yes, candidates must carry a valid photo ID proof, such as Aadhaar card, Voter ID, PAN card, or driving license along with the admit card.

No, only a printed hard copy of the GATE admit card will be accepted at the exam centre. Therefore, candidates must carry their hall ticket to the exam centre.

  • Name of the candidate

  • Photo of the candidate

  • Signature of the candidate

  • Enrollment ID

  • Roll number

  • Test paper code

Candidates can download the GATE 2026 admit card on the official website of GATE - which will be announced soon along with the GATE 2026 information brochure. The GATE hall ticket 2026 will be available online only and can be downloaded using their enrollment ID and password.

Yes, the GATE 2026 admit card is mandatory to carry to the GATE exam centre. It is a compulsory document for entry to the examination hall. Without it, candidates will not be given entry or allowed to appear for the exam. The GATE admit card 2026 will be available at the GOAPS portal (once activated)
