Learning GIS and Remote Sensing from an institute rather than a university does not have to harm your professional prospects, depending on the credibility of the institute and the practical exposure provided. Institutes tend to emphasize hands-on learning and industry-specific tools such as Python, R, and GIS programs, which are much sought after in fields such as urban planning, environmental management, and geospatial analysis. But university courses can offer wider theoretical education and recognised certification, which is good for government jobs or academic careers. Opt as per your career and the reputation of the institute.
