Yes, German proficiency is required at the University of Bayreuth for international applicants enrolling in German-taught programs. German language proficiency at the level of at least B2 must be demonstrated for all German-taught programs. The exact level required (B2, C1, or DSH-2) depends on the specific degree programme the applicant is aiming for, as stated in the respective examination regulations. If you do not know German at the time of application, you have the option to submit proof by the end of the 2nd semester.

For bachelor's programs, German is the main language of instruction at the University of Bern. If German is not the native language, then the applicants are required to provide a proof of language skills in German on the C1 Level or take a German test at the University of Bern. A few of the master's programs require a proof of excellent German and English. For the master's program, the applicants are not required to show any qualification for the German language.

I don't know about improvement exam but for JEE mains:-
Unlike India, Germany has 13 years of school education and having qualified JEE Mains means, you are qualified to take admission in German universites but if you are like me who is not from IB/Cambridge and didn't qualify JEE then to study in Germany either you have to do studienkolleg in germany or complete 1year of bachelors
