A rank of 1000 in NEET PG places you in a strong but competitive position for MD General Medicine (often referred to as MS in Medicine colloquially) at Government Medical College (GMC), Nagpur.

Based on 2024 and 2025 cutoff data, your chances depend significantly on which quota and category you belong to:

1. All India Quota (AIQ) - 50%

Under AIQ, the competition is extremely tight for General Medicine at top-tier colleges like GMC Nagpur.

  • General Category:  2025 Round 2 Closing Rank: 997

    • 2024 Round 2 Closing Rank: 537

    • Verdict: You are right on the borderline. While you might miss out in Round 1, you have a solid chance in Round 2 or

The available course at the VK GMC Neemuch is MBBS. MBBS students can get jobs in top organisations & hospitals. There are only 100 seats available in the college. The seat intake is not very low, hence the chances of getting admission to the available course is high.

Although certain official cutoffs of BPT may not be explicitly published in the similar comprehensive form as MBBS, sources suggest that NEET score of 325 to 350 marks is the common range of the cutoffs in the General category in BPT admission to GMC Nagpur.
