The NIFT entrance exam for the BDes Graphic Design course admission is conducted both online and offline. The General Ability Test (GAT) is an online, CBT-based exam. Meanwhile, the Creative Ability Test (CAT) is conducted offline. There's also a Situation Test, conducted as an offline practical exam.

For entrance exams like NID DAT and UG-NIFT, at least 3-6 months of preparation is required, where you'll cover the many Design topics like Color Terminology, Elements & Principles Of Design, Creative thinking & writing, Optical Illusion, etc. However, for exams like CUET-UG, you can effectively prepare in a month or two.

Most BDes in Graphic Design colleges have their official websites where you can register online. Once all the registration and application processes are done, candidates will need to show up for entrance exams and counselling sessions.

Admission to the BDes in Graphic Design is mostly based on both merit and the entrance exam. It depends on the college that which criteria they opt for. The candidates need to fulfill the eligibility criteria for the course, irrespective of their admission process.
