It is technically sufficient for GRE essay. But try to aim for at least 500 words. To secure a score of 5.0 or higher, try to write between 500 and 600 words in GRE 2026 AWA. This length allows you to explain your examples.

The University of Mannheim expects a GRE score, especially from MBA graduates. Students who took courses like a Master's in Management must score a minimum of 162 in quantitative reasoning and 151 in verbal reasoning.
For a full-time MBA graduate, a GMAT score of 600 or equivalent GRE is required. Along with the GRE/ GMAT score, students are required to meet the basic eligibility by holding a UG degree in a relevant field.

For admission to Houston University MS in Statistics and Data Science, the university does not accept GMAT score. But, the submission of GRE score is optional. To get into this course, the applicants should have a Bachelor's degree or a Master's degree. A major in Mathematics is not required. Background in However, Calculus II and Linear Algebra are pre-requisites. A GPA of 3.0 or higher is required in the last 60 hours. Probability and Statistics is not essential, but is a plus. Yes, the California State University Dominguez Hills requires GRE scores for admissions to some courses.
However, the GRE requirement can be waived off for some courses, depending on the applicant's performances in some other academic areas.
An equivalent GPA of 3.5 on a scale of 4.0. or attainment of a previous master's degree can be enough to waive off the GRE requirement.
