The SIPA recommends the GRE or GMAT, but it is not a mandatory requirement. GRE/GMAT score is a complementary requirement that students can opt to pursue in case they feel they do not have a strong list of quantitative courses/ work experience as the exam scores strengthen the application.
A score above 320 can significantly improve the chances of admission.

Santa Clara University expects GRE scores only from students pursuing a Master of Science in Computer Science and Engineering. In addition, students must have a bachelor's degree from a recognised university or equivalent, academic GPA scores, and proof of English language proficiency scores. Also, they must submit official transcripts from all the schools or colleges, letters of recommendation, teacher's/counselor recommendations, and more.

- Visit the official website of ETS and login to your ETS account.
- Check the "Upcoming Tests" section and select your appointment.
- Choose upcoming GRE date and centre based on availability.

The Educational Testing Service (ETS) is the conducting body of the GRE exam. ETS has set up GRE exam centers in 46 Indian cities, including metro and tier-2 cities. Students can choose their preferred center at the time of registration.

San Jose State University does not expect any minimum GRE score from graduate international candidates. However, they expect the GRE scores from the students with a GPA of lower than 3. In addition, graduate students must have completed a four-year bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and submitted the necessary documents including official transcripts from all of their colleges and institutes, a statement of purpose, program-specific requirements, two letters of recommendation, the GRE or GMAT (if applicable), and English language requirements.
