Usually, the IELTS paper test is only on Thursdays and Saturdays. But the computer-delivered IELTS test often has slots on Sundays in big cities. You will get to know about the IELTS available dates while booking the slot only.

Yes, A valid passport is mandatory. You need to upload a scan when you book and bring the original passport on the IELTS exam day. No other ID is accepted.

Yes, if you book IELTS on paper, you can often pick your Speaking slot during registration. For the computer test, the speaking part is usually on the same day or very close to your main test date.

The IELTS exam deadline is not same for all. It change with test center and date.

  • On the IDP website you can see your test date and check Important Dates.
  • You can also ask the test center. They will tell you the right last date.

Yes, candidates can change IELTS exam date if needed. But they must fill the Test Date Transfer & Cancellation Form and give proper documents. The request should reach the IELTS test centre at least 5 weeks before the original test date. After this time, no change is allowed.

The new IELTS date depends on availability and is decided by the test centre. An administrative fee of INR 3,150 is charged for changing the date.

It is better to apply at least 2 or 3 weeks before your IELTS test. If you wait too late, your preferred date or centre may not be available for offline or even online IELTS registration.
