As such, there are no minimum eligibility criteria for IELTS set by the conducting bodies of IELTS. Anyone who wishes to pursue higher studies abroad or wants to work abroad can attempt the IELTS exam (both Academic and General Training). Some universities accept you if you have very good marks in Class 12th English. They might ask for a letter from your college called MOI (Medium of Instruction). But for top rank colleges, IELTS score is usually compulsory.
