Hi Payal,
Although it is not a mandate, however English language exams like TOEFL or IELTS help set a standard of the proficiency of the language. Hence at time of interview, your verbal communication will be uplifted by the scores that you have in these exams.

Why most students follow the conventional path of studying in India or in the west? Why Indian students are obsessed with the west? Is it the 200 years of colonial mindset? Most of them struggle to survive in the west and work for peanuts in India.
So called 'average' and below 'average' students (although it is judged by marks to which I personally don't subscribe to) must look at countries like Bahrain and UAE for their destination for bachelor and masters degrees because the GCC region still the best for job opportunities, offering excellent tax free salaries, and most safe and secured high standard of living that one cannot expect

IELTS fees varies from institute to institute. But those are coaching fees. IELTS exam fees is 9900 until 31st March and after that they are increasing by 500 rs so it would be 10400 rs. You can book your IELTS via British Council or IDP.

When you have 80% marks and above you will get admission in any foreign universities.
You need to do IELTS because it is to prove your English proficiency.
In this you have to write four papers as Reading, Writing, listening and Speaking.
As this exam is a global one and it is to gauge your level to compare in the global level, it is better for you to take some good coaching and then write the exam. You will be given good scholarships by British council if you take good score of Band 8 and above. If you need coaching through skype you see www.mizpah.in or search for a good coaching center and take coaching and then write the exam.

Hi Nikunj,
In Singapore there are Universities that offer MBA programs and do not require IELTS/TOEFL tests. However, the student should have passed from an English medium school to be eligible for waiver of IELTS/TOEFL tests. Do share your details so that I can provide you with a list of options within Singapore.
