IIT Madras, the examination conducting body of IIT JAM 2024 has extended the deadline of JAM 2024 registration to October 25, 2023. Earlier the last date for filling up the JAM 2024 application form was October 13, 2023, which was later extended to October 20. After the basic regisatrion is done, then only candidates can move to other steps of JAM 2024 Application Form.

Hello Yuvan, to get admission in any IIT, a student needs to be eligible to appear for JEE advanced as a first stage. At the second stage he needs to score quite well in JEE advanced so that the student gets admission in the desired course.
   After the conclusion of all the sessions planned for a particular year, National Testing Agency, announces the results of JEE mains. They declare the ranking of all the students and also cut off marks for each of the categories.  The students who have scored equal to or more than these cut off marks are only eligible to appear for JEE advanced. Last year the closing rank for your desired course in IIT Chennai was 3237. But it may differ in the next year when you will be attempting the admission. So you must plan to score better than this.
