Indian Institute of Technology Madras has released a combined report for placements and internships 2023. The report highlights course-wise and sector-wise data. Get a detailed analysis from the IIT Madras placement report 2023 available on the official website. Visit placement.iitmadras.ac.in, then go to the 'Our Statistics' section given on the page. Click on 2022-23 report. Download and save it for future reference.

The highest package at IIT Madras has improved year-on-year from 2021 to 2023. On the other hand, the lowest package has been fluctuating. The table below represents the IIT Madras placement package trends in terms of the highest and the lowest salaries:

IIT Madras overall highest package data is not released. The best placement was observed in BTech CS branch with average package of INR 53.2 LPA.
During MBA and Tech MBA placements 2025, the highest package offered was 35.5 LPA and 81 LPA.

IIT Madras MBA admission is based on candidates' performance in CAT, conducted by IIMs. Students seeking admission can apply online by visiting the official website of CAT. The final admission is granted on the basis of CAT score, past academic record, work experience, performance in PI round, academic diversity, gender diversity and other achievements (if any).
