A safe rank for MSc admissions at IIT ISM Dhanbad for the OBC AI category is between 194 and 1302. This is the overall cutoff range, including all the rounds and specialisations. The lower the cutoff, the higher the chance of a seat at IIT ISM Dhanbad. The round-wise IIT JAM cutoff range for 2025 is given below for MSc admission.

RoundCutoff Range 2025 (OBC AI Quota)
1171 - 1159
2174 - 1235
3174 - 1268
4194 - 1302

What is a safe rank? A safe rank is the cutoff range within which the probability of getting admission is higher for a particular course. The cutoff range varies for different rounds, categories, and quotas.

Several IITs and NITs, like IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Madras, IIT Hyderabad, NIT Surathkal and NIT Rourkela where you can find dedicated UG and PG programs in AI and ML or CSE, which include computer vision knowledge as a part of the classroom syllabus. But if you're asking about standalone courses in Computer Vision, unfortunately, none of the IITs or NITs offer the same at present.

The IITs and NITs in India are the most sought after engineering institutions in India because of their exceptional academic expertise and placement records. Unfortunately, they do not have specific, full-fledged programs in TensorFlow, but it is definitely covered in the AI & ML or Data Science classroom syllabus at the UG and PG levels.

With an EWS rank of 41000, here is what to expect:

It is nearly impossible to get into a NIT or top IIIT for CSE branch as the EWS or OBC closing rank for this course usually comes below 10000. It is only the new NITs that may allow you into any branches such as electrical engineering or computer engineering depending on individual NIT's criteria and sometimes may allow to convert towards CSE/ IT branch if you are beyond 40000 - 45000 rank.
