See, IIT Dhanbad is more better than NIT Warangal. But as you are a girl, you will not get more than 2-3 girls in your batch in mechanical. Usually girls don't take mechanical as there are lot of physical works to do in lab. ECE is more better branch according to today's demand and need. NIT Warangal is one of the top NIT. So, I will suggest you to go for NIT Warangal ECE.

Really good. You can expect a salary of 50000 per month in the beginning. And I would also say that you should learn some statistical software like SAS as well that will raise your chances many times.

GATE score is not mandatory for Ph.D. programme in IITs. Assuming that you have qualified GATE during M Tech admission, it will help you in shortlisting process even if it is not valid. However, some of the IITs may ask for a valid GATE score.

3. Education is cheaper. Practically Free. In some cases even cheaper than IITs although if the recent bills are passed the cost is likely to rise.
4. Lot of scholarship opportunities - both merit and need based. There are few student grants also.
5. Placement statistics of top NITs are at least comparable to that of IITs
6. Most NITs are located far from Mega Cities unlike IITs. This has uniqu
