When a student seeks admission in an institute for a particular course, whether he will get admission or not is determined by his position in the merit list & whether he fulfills eligibility criteria or not. Once a student clears JEE Advanced he is cleared to seek admission in any undergraduate course conducted by any of the IIT's. His AIR will decide whether he gets admission or not. For the branches you have mentioned, eligibility criteria is same and hence your merit list number only will decide your admission. 1. Make a realistic timetable of your daily activities. Try sticking to this schedule of yours.
2. NCERT books are great for both boards and competitive exams. Complete syllabus from these books on priority.
3. To score well in boards, covering a substantial portion of NCERT is enough. Make sure you solve sample papers released by CBSE.
4. For IIT-JEE, you need to move a step ahead by solving and practicing numerous application based questions. You can do it with mock tests, previous year question papers and sample papers available a

The admissions in NIT"s as well as in IIIT's are based on ranking in JEE Mains examination. NTA will be announcing this in the month of May after completion of second phase of this exam in April. For getting admission in IIT's, the students have to clear one more exam called JEE Advanced.
