Firstly don't get worried. Syllabus of 12th and almost all entrance exams is almost same. So if you study for one, you have studied for others. But provided you have studied for sake of knowledge and not for passing exams. You can even start now. Understand concepts. Understand subject. You will automatically score marks.

The admission into IITs for any course is based on the JEE advanced exam only. So you need to clear JEE main and then JEE advanced with a good rank so that you can get a seat for biotechnology in IIT.
To get admission at Anna University, your board exam marks alone are considered and there is no entrance exam. Your cut off in PCB out of 200 is considered.

The reason is that IITs are more affordable and still more reputed than BITS Pilani. Being a private university, BITS charges more fee like around 15-16 lakhs for 4 years while in IITs, it is around 5-6 lakhs for 4 years.
The people who can afford that fee would appear for both JEE Advanced and BITSAT. They opt for BITS only if they don't get IITs.

IIT is one of the biggest government colleges in India. IIT provide great knowledge as well as placement, but BITS-Pilani is also a decent college. If you qualify both the exams, it means you are one of the best students in India.
All the best!
