If you are unable to crack JEE and do not get selected for IITs or NITs, it is not the end of your engineering career dream. In order to have good engineering degree, you may try for BITS, BIT, VIT University, Manipal University, Shiv Nadar University, Tapar University, DTU, NSIT, NIIT University, JIT University etc. by participating in their admission process. Few engineering colleges under UPTU such as JSS, AKG etc. are equally good. If you dream of doing B.Tech from IITs or NITs only, you may evaluate taking one year drop for engineering entrance examination preparations.

Diploma holders are eligible to appear in JEE (Advanced) therefore they can apply to appear in JEE Main but rank and score of such students for JEE (Main) is not declared as diploma holders cannot apply for admission in NITs and CFTIs through JEE (Main) channel. You are eligible to seek admission in B.Arch at IITs on completion of Diploma in Engineering.

Hello Shekhar
Don't worry, it is good that you have found your interest and if you don't have an interest in IIT then no problem. Next year, at the time of admission, you should try to take admission in a design course.
