For doing so, first of all, I would like to suggest you be clear about why you want to go for IIT.
For practice, I would like to tell you to join some coaching institute such as Kelvin, Resonance, FIITJEE, etc. from class 11th onwards.

Go for it if you have got a top state engineering colleges else go for a drop and then try for NITs or IITs but don't waste a year unnecessarily. If you get a top state engineering college, go for it.
