For doing so, first of all, I would like to suggest you be clear about why you want to go for IIT.
For practice, I would like to tell you to join some coaching institute such as Kelvin, Resonance, FIITJEE, etc. from class 11th onwards.

Read the NCERT questions once you are done with them just read Arihant, RD Sharma, etc. don't go for apps and all because this will deviate your mind. Good luck!

Check Akash once, I have a list of friends in NIT-Warangal who are from Akash. I would also suggest you to read NCERT text books, solve as many problems as you can, etc. Hope this got cleared, good luck!

IIT, NIT and government colleges differ in placements, study, games and all the issues that's why IITs are the best and then next NITs later government colleges, etc.

Go for it if you have got a top state engineering colleges else go for a drop and then try for NITs or IITs but don't waste a year unnecessarily. If you get a top state engineering college, go for it.
