The cutoff for SC category candidates can get down up to 55 percentile.

No IIT can guarantee 100% job placement to its graduates. However, the probability of getting jobs from legacy IITs such as Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Kanpur, KGP is near 100%.

If you are from general category, then it will be very difficult as the cutoff will be around 92 percentile for most of the IITs.

There are 12 students from IIT and many engineers from reputed colleges in the batch of 2016-18 .You may choose your specialization in the second year of the course, marketing being one of the good options . Best wishes !

Diploma holders in engineering are eligible to appear in JEE (Advanced) by applying in JEE (Mains) 2017. You may refer to following link for details: http://jeemain.nic.in/WebInfo/Handler/FileHandler.ashx?i=File&ii=65&iii=Y

You can appear for JEE Mains and after cracking this exam you can appear for JEE Advance. If you crack JEE Advance with good marks you may be selected for any IIT.

Hello Yash,
The corrections are allowed only after the period of acceptance of an application form is over. 31 May 2017 is the last date to submit the application form. Hence, the window for corrections will open after this date.

Devoting one full year for JEE preparation after completing class 12th has its own merits and demerits. Dropping a year means that you will get sufficient amount of time to prepare for competitive exams. It will allow you take mock up test and help to score good ranking in competitive exams.
