IMU Kochi only accepts a valid IMU CET rank for admission to the MBA course. Moreover, the institute offers two specialisations in the MBA course, namely, International Transportation and Logistics, and Port & Shipping Management. The admission process for both courses is the same. Before applying for the entrance exam, candidates are required to ensure that to apply for the course, candidates must complete their graduation with at least an aggregate of 50%. There will be a 5% relaxation in eligibility marks; however, it will not apply to English marks. Note: All candidates who qualify for this course will have to submit a Physical Fit

Thus, the tuition fee for the MBA course at IMU Campus Kochi and IMU Chennai Campus is equal. However, the fee is the one factor that candidates 'consider while choosing the course. Entry to the BSc programme at IMU Kochi is entrance-exam-based and held via the Indian Maritime University Common Entrance Test (IMUCET). Application for IMUCET, subsequent to fulfilling the eligibility criteria, must be registered and attended by candidates. Seats are allocated to passing candidates on the basis of the rank secured through a centralized counselling scheme. Final admission is realized on payment of fees and proof of documents.

For being a part of the BSc programme at IMU Kochi, candidates should have passed Class 12 with a minimum aggregate of 60% marks. Candidates should also have done Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics at the senior secondary level. Candidates are required to fulfill the eligibility criteria before enrolling in IMUCET. Only candidates who meet these requirements can go for the entrance exam and admissions process.
