The total number of candidates registered for IMU's Online CET increased from 14,751 in 2014-15 to 16,694 in 2015-16 to 22,495 in 2016-17 Placements: More than 70% of students got placed in different maritime companies around the world. The IMU Kochi recorded a 22% placement rate during placement 2021, which was very less as compared with 2020, i.e. 52%. However, the latest data placement report of 2022 is not released as yet.Placements: Almost 95% of students get placed every year in our college. The highest salary package offered is 6 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 3 LPA. If you attend your classes regularly, it is not difficult to score above 75% in every semester. The difficult part is, however, to attend classes regularly when you are in Kolkata.As tough as it is to get 75% in class I or class II or class XII or your diploma, every level is difficult it's upto you how you take it.Getting 75% marks in semester exam of IMU is quite easy. Bachelor's Degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% in aggregate marks from recognised universities and a minimum of 50% marks in English subject in 10th / 12th / UG Degree. Yes it indeed is good to join but only if you can clear IMUCET-the entrance test for admission to IMU. IMU is the central government university and if you are interested in merchant navy then you should hit to one of the campuses of IMU. Be very clear of what stream you want to choose (B.Sc, B.Tech, DNS, etc.it is costly B.E. / B.Tech (12 courses) 3 L - 18.6 L . The placement rate recorded in IMU Kochi placement drive 2021 was 22% which was much lower than the last year's placement rate which was 52% in 2020.
