A nationwide entrance test is called CLAT. Admissions to undergraduate and graduate programmes offered by the 23 participants National Law Universitiesmember NLUs are handled by a consortium of NLUs. These 23 NLUs take part in the CLAT exam, which has a capacity of 3300 students. According to NLU, 80150 undergraduate seats are available. For quality education rather than quantity, each NLU batch consists of 80150 students annually. As a result, NLU offers fewer places for high-quality education. The ratio of student to instructor is advantageous for personality development, classroom engagement, and personality. While there are fewer places available in NLUs overall due to the high level of competition, around more than 55,000 students take exams for these seats.

For admission to this course the candidate should apply only on the prescribed form.
Admission forms can be obtained from the office on payment of 150/- on working week days between 9.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m.
Duly filled application forms should be submitted to the office on working week days between 9.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. The applicant must deposit 10/- as registration fees in cash while depositing the admission form.
The applicant must furnish attested copies of the following documents alongwith the admission form.a. Mark Sheet of Senior Secondary Examination.b. Certificate / Mark Sheet of Secondary Examination.c. Transfer Certificate from the Institution last attended.d. Character Certificate from the institution last attended.
Forms incomplete in any respect will not be accepted.
Names of the students admitted to a Course will be displayed on the Notice Board on the specified date. No individual communication will be made to the candidates in this regard.
Students should deposit the fees on the specified date. Admission of the student, who fails to deposit the fees by the specified date, shall stand cancelled and the candidates lower in the merit list will be next preferred. No extension will be granted for depositing the fee. Student getting admission should obtain their Identity Card from the College Office. They should always keep it in their possession and produce it whenever asked for.
The following categories of students will not be eligible for admission.a. Candidates who are declared unsuccessful in the qualifying examination.b. Candidates who are detained form appearing in the examination on account of shortage of attendance.
Following cases of students shall not be given admission in any case :a. Any candidate against whom F.I.R. has been lodged by the Principal or any other authority.b. Any candidate who has been convicted of a criminal offence involving moral turpitude.c. Any candidate who has indulged himself / herself in misbehavior with any teacher or with any authority / official / students of the college.
Declaration in the following form shall be made by each student at the time of admission.
I declare that:
I have not been convicted of any criminal offence nor have I been incarcerated / released on bail in connection with a criminal case.No case of criminal offence or moral turpitude is pending against me in any Court of Law.No complaint or F.I.R. has been lodged against me by the Principal or any other competent authority.I have not resorted on any act of indiscipline during the previous year, andI know that I am required to have minimum 75% attendance in each subject (theory & practical) for appearing at the examination.
Renewal of Admission
All the students taking / passing the qualifying examination will be provisionally admitted to the next higher class / subject within three days of reopening of the Institution after summer vacations. Teaching will commence soon thereafter and attendance will be counted from the date the teaching commences.
Forma admission form will have to be submitted and fees deposited by the notified date, failing which the provisional admission will stand cancelled.
