Among the top IIITs in India are IIIT Pune and IIIT Kottayam. Both IIITs position students well and provide qualifying undergraduate and graduate students with a range of scholarships. The facilities provided by IIIT Kottayam and IIIT Pune are excellent, and the faculty members are good. Therefore, the greatest college for engineering students as well as those pursuing other degrees will rely on what each individual wants from a specific institution, college, or organisation. Since the two colleges cannot be compared.

The IIIT PPP Act, issued by the Indian Ministry of Education, designated IIIT Kottayam an institute of national importance. Students studying engineering and other subjects can choose from UG, PG, and PhD programme offered at Lottayam IIIT. Features a number of clubs, including the IEEE students, Technical, Cultural, Sports, Social and Literay, Entrepreneurial and Innovation, and others. Numerous students at IIIT Kottayam have been able to develop their leadership abilities due to these clubs. There are seperate hostels available for boys and girls.

The highest domestic package and the highest international package offered during placements 2023 stood at INR 58.93 LPA and INR 23 LPA, respectively. The average package offered during IIIT Kottayam placements 2023 was INR 14.32 LPA. Further, a total of 76 companies participated and a 100% placement rate was recorded during placements 2023. PhD in Computer Science and Engineering at IIIT Kottayam is a three year course at the Doctorate level. The total tuition fee for IIIT Kottayam Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering is INR 1.35 Lakh. Apart from the tuition fee, there is a hostel fee of amount INR 88,200 that students are required to pay in addition to the tuition fee. To get admitted to IIIT Kottayam PhD in Computer Science and Engineering course, applicants must meet the entry requirements, i.e., graduation with 60% aggregate.

The application fee per department is INR 1,000 for the General/ Gen-EWS/ OBC category and INR 500 for SC/ST/PWD/Female category candidates. This amount is completely non-refundable. Candidates can deposit the requisite application fee by using net banking or debit/credit card facilities. Additional charges are applicable as per the rule of the concerned bank. The fee is, however, not accepted through any other mode.
