The JoSAA 2024 registration process started on June 10, 2024. There will be five rounds of JoSAA counselling. JoSAA released Rounds 1 and 2 seat allocation results and cutoffs. • Qualified CSIR/ UGC/ DAE/ NBHM/ DST/ DBT/ ICAR/ICMR/ ICPR or secured funding from such an agency.
• Applicants should be financed by the Government /Semi-Government/ academic/industry /research lab.
• Applicants should be nominated by Government of India/State under a Cultural Exchange Scholarship Programme, or a scholar admitted under an MOU.

IIIT Ranchi considers the score of GATE exam for M.Tech admission. However, it is not compulsory. The M.Tech admission will be through online/offline counselling based on the GATE score and/or written test and/or interview by the respective departments at IIIT Ranchi.

PhD admission at IIIT Ranchi is ongoing for the academic session 2026. The last date of submission of application form is June 30, 2026.  Candidates have to submit application form online through the admission portal of IIIT Ranchi.

The minimum duration of the PhD programme at IIIT Ranchi (excluding dropped
semester (s)/maternity leave) is three years (36 months) from the date of joining. The maximum period for completing the PhD programme is seven years (excluding maternity leave) from the date of admission.
