GATE results will be accepted by IIT Bombay for admission to the M.Tech programme. Candidates must secure at least 60% of the total marks (55% of the total marks for SC/ST/PwD category) in any of the following degrees: BE, B.Tech, B.Sc., Bachelor of Architecture and Bachelor of Planning, M.Sc., MCA, MBBS, M.Pharm, B.Pharma, BDS or a recognised qualification equivalent to BE or B.Tech.

IIT Bombay will not release any admission cut-offs for CEED. IIT Bombay doesn't conduct any Joint Seat Allotment.
In fact, IIT Bombay is only responsible for the conduct of the CEED exam and declaration of results.
Candidates will have to apply to the participating institute themselves based on their CEED scores. These participating institutes will then prepare admission cut-offs based on parameters like number of applicants, seat intake, category under which admission is sought, etc.

In CSE branch, IIT Bombay has a better placement rate as compared with IIT Guwahati. However, in the Chemical Engineering branch, IIT Guwahati has a slighter better placement rate than IIT Bombay. IIT Bombay JAM Cutoff 2024 has been released for Round 2. The most cmpetitive course was M.Sc. in Applied Geology, with the Cutoff rank of 16, for the General AI category candidates. For the OBC category candidates, the Cutoff closed for the same course was 82.
If not eligible for IIT Bombay, candidates can seek admission to IIT Roorkee, with a lenient cutoff of 52, for M.Sc in Applied Geology.
