Yes, candidates can get admission to M.Tech course at IIT Bombay through GATE. Admission to the course is based on scores in GATE followed by COAP counselling. In addition, to be eligible to take the entrance test, candidates must also meet the minimum eligibility criteria. The college provide M.Tech course acorss various specialisations. In order to be eligible to apply for the course, candidate must pass a Bachelor degree in any recognised university with a minimum of 60% aggregate (55% aggregate for SC/ ST/ PwD category).

The last year 2022 cutoff ranks for B.Tech. in Civil Engineering at IIT Bombay - Indian Institute of Technology other than General category are - 1633 for OBC, 851 for SC, 257 for ST, 693 for EWS, 156 for PWD. While the admissions are based on the scores/rank obtained in JEE exam, the last cut offs also change a lot depending on All India quota or Home State. It also varies if the applicant is a female.

GATE results will be accepted by IIT Bombay for admission to the M.Tech programme. Candidates must secure at least 60% of the total marks (55% of the total marks for SC/ST/PwD category) in any of the following degrees: BE, B.Tech, B.Sc., Bachelor of Architecture and Bachelor of Planning, M.Sc., MCA, MBBS, M.Pharm, B.Pharma, BDS or a recognised qualification equivalent to BE or B.Tech.
