With a rank of 4429 and a percentile of 92.284 in the INI CET, your chances of getting a seat in Ophthalmology at JIPMER Pondicherry are moderate. In general, a rank between 4300-4600 is expected for this specialty according to previous trends. Cut-offs, however, vary each year depending on applicants and difficulty levels of exams. Be keeping abreast with the counseling process as is officially chosen and prepared to face new entrance requirements and respective results.

So actually, the open round counselling in INICET is held after the first two rounds of counselling. This is not for people who could not allocate a seat in the previous rounds, but for those who fail to attend counselling completely. Such a person will still have the option of getting a seat in institutes.

Yes. You can attend the open round if you have not attended Round 1 or Round 2. The seats at this open round might not be very many, and then your choices might not be as good as in the previous rounds.

All important details and timelines are published in the official INICET counselling schedule; make sure to check it out to not miss
